When you pay attention to your teeth, people will pay attention to your smile. The cleaner that your teeth are, then the healthier they will be when you need them. The easiest way to keep your teeth clean is through the application of regular oral hygiene practices. Always brush your teeth thoroughly. Brush every tooth in circular and gentle scrubbing motions. Floss between every tooth to root out miniscule pieces of food that get stuck between teeth. Gargle and rinse with a good mouthwash product afterwards to complete the process. You can naturally add to your oral hygiene routine by eating produce that is rich in nutrients and which cleans teeth naturally. Also, it just makes sense to eat healthy produce. Foods and drinks that are high in sugar, calories, and fat can damage teeth, rot teeth, or can darken them, sometimes all of the above. Leafy and Green Vegetables Add a lot of leafy greens to your daily diet. They are healthy, low in calories and full of nutrients. Leafy green vegetables like lettuce is a great source of calcium. Calcium makes teeth strong and durable. They are also a good source of folic acid and vitamins, which is known to help cut down on gum disease and tooth decay. Celery Celery acts like a natural toothbrush for your teeth. When you bite and chew celery, its natural and fibrous texture naturally cleans your teeth. Additionally, celery is full of vitamins A and C. Those are natural antioxidants which help to protect your gums, and by extension your teeth, from gum disease. Almonds Almonds are a great source of the nutrient calcium. You need calcium to have strong teeth. Almonds are also a great snack substitute for junk food. They are low in sugar and will never be a worrying cause for cavities. Eat Healthy and Brush Your TeethInclude buying healthy produce as a method for keeping your teeth clean. Eating healthy can be a satisfying method to keep your teeth clean. Just as much as your oral hygiene practices. For any additional ideas, call our office. |
