Having good oral hygiene practices every day is important for a lot of different reasons. We have probably told you, since you can remember, to brush two times a day, floss at least once a day, rinse, stay away from sugary drinks and treats, and routinely visit so they can deep clean and keep an eye on things.
We actually tell you these things because they care about your overall health. Let's talk about flossing your way to weight loss goals. Flossing Can Help You Lose WeightKeeping a daily routine is very important for good oral health. Brushing with a soft bristle toothbrush is recommended because it's less abrasive to your tooth enamel, and gentle on your gums. Using a mouthwash will help remove plaque and tartar buildup along with bacteria. Flossing is the best way to get in between teeth where your brush can't reach. Getting up along your gum line is very important to avoid inflammation and infection. It has also been linked to weight loss. When you floss, your teeth feel clean, and that can be an appetite suppressant for most people. Having a great smile, and lose weight can be a huge confidence booster. The truth is we have a ton of information for you. We only have one adult set of teeth to last our lifetime. We really do feel better when we take care of ourselves. Getting a cleaning at our office is a better-than-ever feeling, and so is knowing that you are doing good on the inside also. We can give you nutrition information on foods you eat and beverages you drink. They can also diagnose heartburn and sleep apnea. Sounds like a good reason to keep a relationship with us. To schedule a cleaning, or to get more information, call our office today. Let's keep that confidence up.
