Drinking lactose-free milk is something many people around the world do on a daily basis. They bypass their love of milk and distain of lactose intolerance symptoms by drinking milk that doesn't have any lactose in it.

If you fall into this population, getting enough calcium may be a concern of yours. Lucky for you, lactose-free milk is only lacking in one major ingredient, the lactose.

Eating a Balanced Diet Helps Keep Your Teeth Strongest

Lactose-free milk allows you to drink milk without the problematic symptoms that come from lactose intolerance. However, it should only be one part of your healthy diet. You want to eat foods and drink beverages that provide what your body needs to stay healthy. This includes drinking tap water for the fluoride, eating lots of lean meats and produce, and making sure that all of your nutrients get balanced out.

Calcium is not the only thing that helps to keep your teeth strong. They need proper care, checkups by your dentist, and a balanced nutritional influx with each meal.

You need to think about your entire body when you eat, not just your stomach or your overall health. Your teeth need nutritious foods to come in that you are going to chew up, as they don't get as much when your only nutrition comes through things like vitamins.

If you are lactose intolerant, make sure your dentist is aware of this. Most people who suffer from this ailment end up having to decline dairy foods when out or eating somewhere other than at home.

This can make it to where your teeth are not always getting what they need. It is important that your dentist check up on this regularly, to make sure your teeth are able to remain healthy despite your intolerance.

Please, contact our office, if you have any questions about lactose-free milk's effects on your oral health.
