What is Fluorosis?
Fluorosis is a condition that occurs when the enamel is exposed to too much fluoride early in the tooth's development. The end results are stains and discoloration on the teeth. In many cases, these stains may be quite light and hardly noticeable, but more severe cases may also occur.
At times, the coloring can include a brown outline, and with the most severe instances, the stains may be predominantly brown.
Most cases of fluorosis are on the mild side, and people that have these stains are able to live life without any concerns. Most people may not even notice that their teeth are any different.
